The NF Office Excellence Certified brand is well-deserved: Episode 6!

The product you have in front of you proudly carries the NF certification mark.

But what did it do to get here? A long journey of qualification, filled with successive steps, with the main one being compliance with a technical reference framework: a list of stringent normative tests established by FCBA and approved by users.

Do you want to see it?

Discover one of the fire tests conducted on office chairs: the flame test.
Duration: 1’48

Purpose of the test:

To understand the fire reaction of the foam components and coverings of a chair.

In the video, the first part shows the fire behavior of a certified chair (non-flammable).

In the second part, we use a model purely for illustrative purposes to show an ignition and obtain a non-compliant result.

Principle of the chair test:

  • Place the chair in a chamber.
  • Ignite a standardized flame, like a match.
  • Apply the flame to various specific points on the chair (backrest/seat)...
  • ...for 15 seconds.

To be compliant, no ignition must occur during the test.
