The NF mobilier professionnel brand is earned: Episode 3

The product you have in front of you proudly bears the NF marking.
Great, but what has it done to get here? A long journey of qualification marked by successive steps, the main one being compliance with a technical specification: a list of ruthless standard tests established by FCBA and validated by users.

Do you want to see?

Discover one of the mechanical tests performed on school or community chairs: stability when placed on a table.

Objective of the test:

Ensure that the chair does not fall when placed on a table (e.g., cleaning the room).

Principle of the test:

The chair is placed on the front edge of the table top.

A 6.5 kg hammer is then positioned 40 cm from the table top.

The angle applied to the hammer is calculated to have a drop height of 31 cm

...to obtain an impact of 2 joules

The hammer must touch the chair only once. A total of 3 impacts are made.

The method used is standardized: NF EN 17292-2

A piece of furniture with the NF mark will withstand this particularly selective test: during and after the impacts, the chair must not fall.
