Perfect, but what has it done to earn this distinction? It's been through a long qualification journey, filled with successive steps, the primary one being compliance with a technical reference system - a list of rigorous normative tests established by FCBA and validated by users.

Test Duration: 2’13

Test Objective:

Ensure the user's safety by verifying that the chair doesn't tip over.

Test Principle: 4 Main Steps

Step 1: Forward Tipping

The front edge of the seat is loaded with 60kg, then a 20N force is exerted outward.

Step 2: Lateral Tipping of the Chair with Armrests

One armrest is loaded with 35kg, along with the seat, then a 20N force is applied outward.

Step 3: Backward Tipping of the Chair without a Reclining Backrest

The seat is loaded with 60kg, and a 192N force is applied outward.

Step 4: Backward Tipping of the Chair with a Reclining Backrest

Thirteen 10kg discs are placed along the backrest.

Method Used: it's standardized: it's NF EN 1335-3.

As you can imagine, the chair must not tip over at any point. Your chair is certified.
