Discover one of the laboratory tests conducted to certify a box spring: lateral rigidity.

Test Objective:
Ensure the strength of the box spring's structure.

Test Principle:

- Alternately exert 500 horizontal pushes at the front feet.

- The pushes are 200 N each.

- The rear feet are blocked while the front feet can slide.

This type of test is quite severe in terms of the joints. To be CTB Literie certified, a box spring must not sustain any damage to its structure.

The method used:
- Was specifically developed by FCBA (protocol).
