The product you have in front of your eyes proudly carries the NF mark.
Perfect, but what did it do to get there? A long journey of qualification, filled with successive stages, the main one being compliance with a technical reference document: a list of ruthless normative tests established by FCBA and validated by users.

Discover one of the mechanical tests performed on chairs: static seat and backrest load.
Test objective:
To replicate the accelerated aging of a chair when a person sits and leans back.
Test principle:
Loads are applied at specific points on the seats and backrests.
First, at the seat (100 kg), then at the backrest (30 kg).
For 25,000 cycles.
And this is true for any type of seat (sofa, recliner, etc.).
The method used: It is standardized; it is NF EN 12520.
An NF-certified piece of furniture will withstand this particularly selective test: after this test, no damage should be observed, and the sagging should be less than 3 cm.
